______Our Staff includes a full complement (Multidisciplinary Team) of medical, psychological, social work, and substance abuse professionals. We develop an individual treatment plan with each patient. Our eclectic philosophy allows us to treat and counsel patients from where they currently are in their addiction / recovery process.
______NBCC services include drug and alcohol evaluations, physical examination, individual and group counseling, psychological evaluation, on-going psychotherapy, treatment for opiate dependency, and drug screening / urinalysis.
______NBCC encourages the participation of family and significant others in patient's treatment. Family involvement and education are often key factors in the recovery process.
Referral Services
______If after evaluation, we determine that a person requires a different level of care or treatment, we will assist in the referral process. We refer to mental health counseling, medical, social services, inpatient programs, and inpatient detox programs.
______NBCC recommends ongoing participation in the 12 Step Recovery Programs for patients who can benifit from self-help groups.

Founded in the early 1970's, NBCC became a private, non-profit agency in 1982. Today, NBCC is fully staffed to address the addiction issues of drugs and alcohol. Additional programs much needed in the New Millennium include providing HIV counseling, education, testing, support groups, prevention, specialized women's services and intensive outpatient counseling.

The Mission of New Brunswick Counseling Center is to provide comprehensive, evidence based, individualized, substance abuse treatment services. These services are provided for the prevention, reduction, and the elimination of the negative biopsychosocial consequences (Biological, Psychological, Social) associated with substance abuse and dependency.
